After seeing his productivity tail off during his senior season at Baylor, Norwood went undrafted in the spring and was on the outside looking in on a 53-man roster spot with the Bears heading into camp. Norwood's unrefined receiving skills made special teams his easiest avenue to a roster spot, but he was ultimately cut in August after failing to shine during practices and exhibitions in that phase of the game.
