Sefo Liufau

The nephew of former Bucs signal-caller Jack Thompson brings plenty of college starting experience, having helmed the Colorado Buffaloes offense the last four seasons. Liufau generated solid production through both the air and ground, throwing for 9,763 yards and rushing for another 939 (along with 13 rushing touchdowns) during his college career. Despite a solid 6-3 frame, the 22-year-old battled some injuries, including an ankle ailment during his senior season that cost him two games and hampered him from several more. With the Bucs having just inked veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick and already having Ryan Griffin, who is well-versed in head coach Dirk Koetter's offense, in the fold, Liufau will likely need to shine in training camp and preseason games to have a realistic chance of unseating one of the two. A practice squad designation may be the most likely fate for Liufau in 2017 unless he's snapped up by another team.
