RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014

There was no outlook written for Dante Hall.

2008

Hall is a true wildcard. He'll face intense competition as the club's primary kick/punt returner while fighting for a spot in the receiver rotation. If the club decides to go with a youth movement then Hall might end up on the waiver wire. If he comes into camp injury free with a fire lit under his butt then he could once again become a major weapon on special teams while challenging for the No. 4 receiver spot.

2007

He'll compete for the 5th or 6th WR job but his main role will be as the club's kick and punt return specialist. Hall had a tough 2006 but a new environment and a encouraging coaching staff may prove to be just what the speedster out of Texas A&M needs to once again become the most feared return man in the game.

2006

Coach Herm Edwards said during the spring organized team activities (OTA) that Hall would be involved in the offense outside of his duties as a returner. Still, his upside is limited at receiver given his size.

2005

After spending a bulk of his time at receiver last year and seeing his kick return numbers suffer, Hall decided this offseason to focus more on his special teams duties and less on his receiving duties. While this choice may benefit the Chiefs, it will certainly hinder Hall's fantasy value. If your league rewards kick-return yards, draft Hall, one of the NFL's premiere returners. If your league does not reward special teams performances, however, keep him off your fantasy radar this year.

2004

Hall's value obviously depends on the importance of return yardage in your league. The NFL's premier returner, Hall totalled 1950 yards and five TDs on kickoff and punt returns. As a receiver, 14 of his 40 receptions came against the Broncos. Expect more receiving yards and a tad less return yardage in 2004, simply because his incredible special teams stats will be hard to duplicate.
