RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for David Bowens.
Bowens should start, but he is not expected to put up the gaudy numbers you would like out of an IDP candidate.
Wasn't overly productive for the Jets last year, but will add depth to the Browns' linebacking corps which has struggled recently.
Bowens has always known how to get to the opposing quarterback, though he likely won't see enough playing time to to get the type of numbers needed to merit any IDP consideration.
Will serve as the back-up to Jason Taylor on the right side, where he posted six sacks in 2005 and should do as well or better in 2006.
Bowens will be lucky to see the field in 2003, as he recovers from a torn ACL in a non-football related injury during the off-season. Coming off a strong 2002 campaign, Bowens is targeting a mid-November return date, although that may be too optomistic. Bowens can not be counted on this year.
