Heading into camp Robbins was penciled in as a starter alongside Clifton Ryan on the interior of the club's defensive line. However, he no Warren Sapp and both Chris Hovan or Darrell Scott could knock him back to a back-up role with strong camps.
Robbins will be part of the team's deep interior line rotation. He's capable of generating a push up the middle and collapsing the pocket, but he'll play only one third to one half of the team's snaps.

The Giants starting right defensive tackle, Robbins had an outstanding season in 2006, with 45 tackles, 5.5 sacks and two interceptions. A repeat of those numbers is unlikely, but Robbins showed that he's capable of supplying a pass rush up the middle and collapsing the pocket on occasion.
