RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Sione Pouha.
Pouha is the Jets' top nose tackle, and as such he'll be worth fringe IDP consideration due to his activity as a run stopper. With just 2.5 sacks in six seasons, no one is going to mistake Pouha as a threat to anyone’s quarterback. But with 59 stops last year (41 solo), he should be a steady source of tackles, which is useful in certain situations. Pouha is a low-ceiling, moderate-floor option.
Backup nose tackle.
Pouha will backup Kris Jenkins at nose tackle in the Jets' 3-4 scheme. Jenkins has been hurt throughout his career, meaning Pouha could see a few starts down the road.
