RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Tony Brown.
Brown is coming into 2010 as one of the defensive leaders on the Titans. He has missed just two games since becoming a full-time starter in 2007. Brown set career-highs last year with five sacks, 25 quarterback pressures and three forced fumbles.
With the lose of All-Pro Albert Haynesworth in free agency, the Titans will likely use several players to rotate in and out of the interior defensive line in 2009, but Brown will likely see most of the playing time at the left side defensive tackle position vacated by Haynesworth. The Titans hope that he will have a big year. In 2008, Brown contributed career-highs in quarterback pressures (24), tackles for a loss (10) and tied his 2007 sack total of four. Brown is entering fifth year in the NFL, third with the Titans.
Expected to be a starting defensive tackle alongside Albert Haynesworth.
Brown is expected to contribute to the defensive line rotation for the Titans. He played 12 games with Tennessee, including one start. He set career highs in tackles (51), sacks (1.5), quarterback pressures (13), tackles for loss (four), fumble recoveries (two) and touchdowns (one).
