With that, it looks like the Bears plan to roll with the likes of Zach Miller, Khari Lee and Bear Pascoe as reserve tight ends behind starter Martellus Bennett.

Rosario served as the primary backup to Martellus Bennett last season, a role that didn’t prove to be especially lucrative. While he was active for all 16 games, Rosario only reeled in 16 passes for 116 yards, production that actually exceeded his outputs from the previous two years combined.
The third tight end on the Bears' depth chart for most of last season, Rosario was targeted just four times in the 15 games he was active for, with most of his utility coming on special teams. He'll be back to vie for a role as a lightly-used backup behind Martellus Bennett once again. Rosario offers is neither a standout as a blocker or pass-catcher, but his mere adequateness in both facets may allow him to emerge with the No. 2 role, as the rest of his competition seems to possess a clear weakness in one or the other.
On Labor Day, Rosario was traded by Dallas to the Chicago Bears. He will be fourth on the Bears' TE depth chart and will have very little fantasy value.
Rosario is looking like the third option at tight end in 2012 behind Antonio Gates and Randy McMichael.
Rosario has never been a big fantasy producer and with lots of competition among the Broncos' tight ends, it will be difficult for him to have much fantasy value this year.
Going into 2010, Rosario will be likely splitting time with Jeff King in the Panthers' offense. His production with Carolina has been mediocre at best, catching only five TDs in three seasons. This could be more of a result of the system he plays in, which uses tight ends more often as blockers than as receivers. He is a mainstay on special teams, but don't look to him for help when picking your TEs on draft day.
Averaging 13.1 yards per reception suggests the potential for more production if he's ever given the targets, but Rosario did most of his damage against the Chargers in Week 1 when Steve Smith was suspended. After hauling in the game-winning reception as time expired in San Diego, Rosario failed to match his first week's fantasy production over the final 15 games combined. He'll enter 2009 as the seldom-used No. 2 tight end behind Jeff King.
Rosario is in the mix for the starting tight end job this summer, but he'll need to wrestle it away from incumbent Jeff King during camp. If nothing else, he'll contribute on special teams, but Rosario's biggest hurdle might be developing rapport with Jake Delhomme following his return from Tommy John surgery.
The Panthers hope to get some production out of Rosario down the road, but in his rookie season he's not expected to do more than provide depth behind Michael Gaines and Jeff King.
