RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Justin King.
King struggled last year for St. Louis before he went on IR with a hamstring injury in October, but he may win the starting cornerback job opposite Jerraud Powers as one of the few experienced veterans in camp.
If injuries keep mounting King may end up as the club's nickelback but it's more likely he'll end up behind Al Harris as the team's fourth cornerback.
Currently penciled in as the club's other starting cornerback opposite Ron Bartell, but stiff competition from some of the club's young and talented DBs may end up leaving him with the nickel or dimeback job by the time the season starts.
King is a true wildcard entering camp as he missed his entire rookie season with a torn ligament in his foot. We expect him to compete with Jonathan Wade for the nickel-back spot but he's more likely to end up as the club's dimeback unless the rookie Fletcher blossoms early.
