RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Melvin Bullitt.
He'll be the starter at strong safety with Bob Sanders departing. He missed the final 12 games last season with a broken bone in his right shoulder, but says he's fully healthy.
Bullitt performed well after Bob Sanders was lost to injury and posted 77 tackles. With Sanders looking healthy heading into training camp, Bullitt may move back to a reserve role. However, he'd be worth of starting in many IDP leagues if he's needed in a starting role again.
Bullitt will be backing up Antoine Bethea at free safety in 2009. Bullitt played cornerback last season for the Colts and recorded 72 tackles and four interceptions. This success should carry into next season, although he will have less playing time.
