RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
Curry will start at weak side linebacker for the Raiders this season. He recorded 68 total tackles last season splitting time between Seattle and Oakland.
Curry turned in a decent rookie season in 2009, though it was perhaps a bit disappointing for the fourth overall pick in the draft. Early in the season, Curry was sometimes out of position or over-pursued as he learned the NFL. Late in the season, hip and shoulder injuries limited his effectiveness and forced him to miss the last two games. That said, with a year under his belt, he should have no trouble building on his 61 tackles and two sacks from 2009. Curry still remains a good option in keeper leagues and could live up to expectations as early as this season.
Curry, the Seahawks' 2009 first-round draft pick, will start at outside linebacker this season. Curry was considered one of the most NFL-ready players in the draft and has ability to rush the passer, but with Julian Peterson traded to Detroit, the Seahawks can't afford a learning curve. Whether Curry makes an immediate fantasy impact or struggles remains to be seen, but he'll have plenty of opportunities. Keep him on your radar.
