RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014

There was no outlook written for Kory Sperry.

2012

Sperry is one of a crowded group of tight ends that will trying to carve out a role on the team behind Antonio Gates. Sperry is mostly a blocking tight end as he only made one reception in 2011 despite actually starting four games, but he knows the team and the playbook, so he might have a leg up on his competition.

2011

The release of Kris Wilson gives Sperry the inside track to lock down the number three tight end role in San Diego. Sperry can catch the ball, but he will be working to make a name for himself with his blocking skills and special teams play in camp in an effort to cement his spot on the roster.

2010

Sperry earned some playing time last season when starting tight end Anthony Fasano had some injury concerns. Sperry has limited upside however and has no business being on anyone's fantasy team.
