RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Chris Chamberlain.
After missing all of the 2012 season with a torn ACL, Chamberlain will compete for a starting position at one of the inside linebacker positions in the Saints new 3-4 defense. However, he is unlikely to surpass Curtis Lofton or Jonathan Vilma on the depth chart, and will likely need an injury to one of the starters to warrant serious fantasy consideration.
After recording 80 tackles last year in St. Louis, Chamberlain followed his head coach Scott Spagnuolo to New Orleans where "Spags" is now the defensive coordinator. Given Chamberlain's familiarity with Spagnuolo's system, he could have a good chance to start at strong side linebacker, competing with incumbent Scott Shanle. If he wins the position, Chamberlain could be a solid source of tackles for IDP owners.
Will primary be a special teams ace while backing up the strongside linebacker position.
Chamberlain is expected to be no better than the club's third-string weak-side linebacker in 2010.
