RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Jason Worilds.
A potential free agent after the season, Worilds' finished 2013 with career highs in tackles (63) and sacks (8), the latter of which led the Steelers. With everything to play for, Worilds should continue to put up big IDP numbers in 2014.
Worilds finally will have an opportunity to start for Pittsburgh in 2013. He has shown solid pass rushing skills, increasing his sack total each of his three years in the league.
Worilds showed promise in 2011 spot duty, recording 38 tackles and three sacks across 12 games with seven starts. With all the health concerns to the Pittsburgh linebacker corps, he figures to find his way into the rotation with James Harrison, LaMarr Woodley and Chris Carter.
Selected in the second round of the 2010 draft, Worilds was a defensive end in college. He will be converted to linebacker with the Steelers. Pittsburgh has plenty of experience and talent at this position, so Worilds has time to develop and learn the game at the team's pace.
