Spitler looks to be the backup behind free agent addition Dannell Ellerbee. It's unlikely he would ever put up big numbers if he were to start. Special team will be where he sees the field most often.
Spitler played in all 16 games last season but only recorded one tackle. He could find himself on the outside looking in come cut down day.
