RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Bradley Fletcher.
Fletcher, who recorded 61 tackles and a pick in 15 games for the Eagles last season, will have a chance to compete for a starting role with the Patriots, with both Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner having departed via free agency. To do so, he'll need to overtake Logan Ryan and Malcolm Butler, while jostling for slotting with fellow newcomers Derek Cox and Tarell Brown.
Fletcher is a favorite to start at one of the outside corner spots for Philadelphia, though players like Nolan Carroll and Jaylen Watkins will push him.
Fletcher will start at cornerback for Philadelphia in 2013. He's an IDP to monitor, because Chip Kelly's Oregon defenses were very aggressive.
Fletcher is expected to compete for one of the two starting cornerback spots. However, the addition of Janoris Jenkins, Trumaine Johnson, and Cortland Finnegan gives the Rams added flexibility and there is talk that the club may try and covert Fletcher to a safety this season in order to bolster that unit. Either way he's expected to be a consistent contributor as long as he's 100% recovered from last year's knee injury.
The club's 2010 interception leader (4) will once again man the Rams' No. 2 cornerback spot opposite Ron Bartell.
Fletcher is completely healthy after a season ending injury in 2009 and will end up no worse than the club's nickel-back once the regular season starts.
