RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2016

There was no outlook written for Sergio Brown.

2015

Brown will compete for a starting safety spot after signing as a free agent this offseason. The 27-year-old spent most of his career as a special teams player before getting an opportunity to fill in for Laron Landry with the Colts last season.

2014

Brown has mostly been a special teams player the past four seasons, but he saw more extensive action in the secondary last year after several injuries. He'll compete with Delano Howell to replace Antoine Bethea at strong safety. Howell is likely the leading candidate, but Brown could be a factor.

2013

Brown will mainly be a contributor at special teams in 2013, after seeing action in all 16 games in 2012 in a similar role.

2012

Depth guy at free safety in a battle to stick around.

2011

Backup strong safety for the Patriots.
