RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
Williams has been in the league since 2011, but this will be the first one where he gets a real chance to emerge as a three-down player for the Giants. Williams is an athletic player who made a bit of an impact in a part-time role as a rookie, finishing with 61 tackles as an off-the-bench player, so he's a legitimate IDP sleeper with Michael Boley gone and Mathias Kiwanuka moved to defensive end. Besides Williams, the only linebackers worth noting with the Giants are Keith Rivers and Dan Connor, both of whom are injury prone if not ineffective. Williams is a sneaky bet to approach 1,000 snaps on defense this year if he can beat out Spencer Paysinger for the starting weak side job.
Reserve outside linebacker.
