RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Jason Pinkston.
Pinkston will attempt to overcome various injuries that have limited him over the past two seasons to earn a reserve offensive lineman job with the Browns in 2014.
Pinkston is coming off a very serious blot clot injury that ended his 2012 season. The hope is he will be ready for the start of the season, but the team re-signed John Greco as insurance just in case. Pinkston will have to battle to win his starting job back in 2013.
Selected in the fifth round of the 2011 draft out of Pittsburgh University, Pinkston was quickly converted from college tackle to guard and forced into action when Eric Steinbach was lost to a back injury in training camp. Pinkston went on to start all 16 games at left guard, although he struggled at times, especially with his run blocking. This season he'll face competition from fellow fifth-rounder, and fellow converted tackle, Ryan Miller who was selected in April out of the University of Colorado.
