Osweiler was sacked twice and hit five times while repeatedly having to escape the pocket in Week 13, and head coach BIll O'Brien called the Texans' pass protection "terrible" afterward, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. "It's got to get a lot better," O'Brien said. "It was just not good enough. We've got to do a better job coaching it with the right protections. It just wasn't good enough. Brock was under pressure most of the day and had to run sometimes, had to move in the pocket. It just wasn't good enough."

RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2016

Subscribe now to see our 2016 outlook.

2015

Osweiler continues to be considered the quarterback of the future in Denver, but with Peyton Manning returning for another season, Osweiler will be on clipboard duty once again.

2014

Osweiler, who has been called the quarterback of the future in Denver, will once again be Peyton Manning's backup. He's got great size at 6-8, 240 pounds, but unless Manning suffers an injury, Osweiler's snaps will be very limited this season.

2013

Osweiler is expected to serve as Peyton Manning's backup in 2013.

2012

Osweiler appears to be the quarterback of the future in Denver, although that future is definitely in the long-term. He will be the No. 3 quarterback this season behind Peyton Manning and Caleb Hanie, and there aren't many better quarterbacks to learn the game from than the future Hall of Famer.
