RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Corey Lemonier.
Lemonier failed to take advantage of Aldon Smith's nine-game suspension last year, as Dan Skuta and Aaron Lynch stepped up to claim to majority of the playing time vacated by Smith. San Francisco had high hopes for the former third round pick, but he hasn't developed into the well-rounded outside linebacker they hoped when drafting him. But with Aldon Smith out of the picture permanently and Ahmad Brooks possibly facing a suspension, opportunity has presented itself in front of Lemonier again. He should make the roster and has a strong chance of starting at one of the vacated outside linebacker spots this year.
A third-round pick in 2013, Lemonier served as a back up for the 49ers last year. With Aldon Smith's playing status in question, Lemonier could be bumped into the starting lineup in 2014.
The 49ers third-round choice in the 2013 draft will compete for a reserve role on the 53-man roster but isn't expected to contribute much as a back-up on the defensive line.
