Richardson (hamstring) is expected to return to practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. "He's got a great shot," head coach Pete Carroll said Monday. "We're counting on him coming back and practicing, at least in limited fashion Wednesday just to prove it, but we think he might be full-go on Wednesday."

Richardson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Richardson made his first appearance of the season Sunday against the Cardinals, hauling in a 40-yard pass on his only target. His good fortune didn't last long, as he suffered a hamstring injury on the play and stumbled before reaching the end zone. Even when healthy, Richardson probably won't get enough snaps to warrant fantasy consideration.
Richardson (hamstring) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. "He doesn't feel it and he has really good strength in his hammy, so it's a little misleading right now, we need to find out what that means," said head coach Pete Carroll. "We're not going to know until we start to work him. He's resting again today and then we hope to find out. He actually feels pretty good about it, he doesn't sense that he's hurt, but he did feel it in the game and then it did show up on the MRIs, so we're treating the player instead of the MRI right now."

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

In the process of corralling a 40-yard pass Sunday versus the Cardinals, Richardson stumbled and fell to the turf, during which he sustained the injury. The aforementioned MRI revealed that "he had something" in the hamstring, according to Carroll, but the team will have a better idea of Richardson's health when he attempts to jog Thursday.

2014

Richardson has great speed and could become a dangerous deep threat, but he'll need to prove that his lack of size and the durability issues he had in college won't be liabilities in the NFL. With Sidney Rice's abrupt retirement, Richardson should land the No. 4 receiver job.
