Odell Beckham: Past News Updates   ( ▲ View most recent update )

Beckham (hamstring) is unsure if he'll practice this week, Tom Rock of Newsday reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Beckham has been hampered by a hamstring injury throughout camp but was seen warming up before Friday's preseason game against the Jets. While he may still hold down the No. 3 receiver spot when healthy, he's all but lost his chance to begin the year as the second starter opposite Victor Cruz.
Beckham (hamstring) was seen catching passes and punts during pregame warmups Friday, NJ.com's Jordan Raanan reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

This is more than he's done during the past few days of practice, so it definitely represents progress. Hopefully he'll be able to up his level of participation in practice next week, as it's been a somewhat lost preseason so far for the rookie receiver. When he was drafted many speculated that he could become the Giants' No. 2 receiver, but his injury issues have given that distinction to Rueben Randle by default.
Beckham (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, NJ.com reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Beckham, who's been no stranger to injury updates this preseason, continues to sit out practice sessions with hamstring discomfort. The rookie has yet to be a full participant since the Giants began their preseason preparations and missed virtually all of OTAs with a pulled hamstring. In the most encouraging news surrounding Beckham lately, he did return to practice in limited action last week, but found himself back on the sidelines already this week. Currently restricted to catching balls from the JUGS machine, the rookie first-rounder has been ruled out of Friday's fourth preseason game and probably won't feature in New York's final exhibition outing either. If one thing's for certain, it's that Beckham's status will be updated regularly leading up to the season, as it becomes more urgent that he suits up.
Beckham (hamstring) will sit out Friday's game against the Jets, the Associated Press reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Beckham has been limited to just six practices since pulling his hamstring early in camp, but it was believed he was only sitting out Tuesday's session for precautionary reasons. In any case, Beckham will miss his fourth straight preseason game due to the injury, which could result in him struggling to see the field in the early weeks of the regular season.
Beckham (hamstring) said that he sat out Tuesday's practice for precautionary reasons, Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports.

Beckham (hamstring) is not practicing Tuesday, The Record's Art Stapleton reports.

Beckham, who missed virtually all of the Giants' offseason activities with a pulled hamstring, just returned to limited action last week, but has already suffered a setback. The first-rounder's status has been increasingly frustrating this preseason, as he's barely practiced and hasn't featured in game action either. While the Giants oddly denied there was anything wrong with Beckham following Monday's practice, apparently there is enough wrong for him to be back working with the team's trainers. At this point, it's unclear when he will be able to return, but he has been ruled out of Friday's preseason game versus the Jets.
Beckham (hamstring) appeared to re-injure himself after catching a pass and running into a defender during drills, but the Giants oddly denied there was anything wrong, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Beckham (hamstring) won't play Saturday against the Colts, Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Beckham, who has been practicing this week, has not suffered any reported setbacks, with coach Tom Coughlin suggesting that the wideout hasn't seen enough practice work yet to be turned loose in a game. The report adds that the Giants expect Beckham to play in the team's subsequent preseason contest, against the Jets on Aug. 22.
