Murray indicates that his surgically-repaired knee is feeling good, the Kansas City Star reports. "The knee is great," Murray said. "It really has been feeling fantastic. Minicamp and OTAs went awesome. I really had no problems with the knee at all, and had no limitations. So I look forward to continue to get it stronger, to build confidence and get better every day."

Murray (knee) signed a four-year contract with the Chiefs on Thursday.

The fifth-round draft choice saw his stock fall after tearing his ACL in late-November, but remains encouraged with how he's progressed this far in his recovery. Murray could be a candidate for injured reserve if he's not completely healthy before the end of training camp.
Murray, who tore his ACL last November, has progressed well in his recovery, ESPN.com reports. "I'm ready to go right now," Murray said. "I'm fully doing everything when it comes to running, jumping, all my dropbacks, all my rollouts right and left. So there's really absolutely no restrictions right now. The doctors have given me the green light to go out there and do everything."

While Murray may feel ready to go in advance of the Chiefs' upcoming three-day rookie camp, which opens May 24, ESPN.com suggests that the team may play it safe and not turn the fifth-rounder fully loose until training camp. In any case, the Chiefs can afford to bring Murray along slowly, with veteran Alex Smith still under contract and both Chase Daniel and Tyler Bray still in the team's backup QB mix.
The Chiefs selected Murray (knee) in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, 163rd overall.

Murray, a quarterback from Georgia, expects to participate in his school's pro day Apr. 16 despite suffering a torn ACL on Nov. 23, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Exclusive Fantasy Analysis (FREE PREVIEW)

Murray presumably won't do much or any running at that pro day, but hopefully his knee is in good enough shape for him to put in a full throwing workout. Scouts will want to take a second look at his ability to connect with receivers on the full route tree, as he mostly tended to show below-average throwing velocity by starting NFL quarterback standards while at Georgia. The fact that he's around just 6-foot, 200 pounds gives further reason to worry that Murray is more of a backup than a starting prospect. Murray's smarts, toughness and accuracy tend to check out quite well, on the other hand, as he threw for 121 touchdowns compared to 41 interceptions at Georgia. He also showed an ability to escape pressure and added 16 more touchdowns on the ground. His upside appears quite limited, though, and it would generally be a surprise if he made an appearance before the fourth round.
