Past Fantasy Outlooks
2015
2014
Muamba signed with the Colts last season after playing in the CFL, but played just 21 snaps on defense. He's a developmental project since he played college ball in his native Canada and didn't attract much interest from the NFL. He went first overall in the 2011 CFL Draft, then justified the selection with his strong play as he was named to the CFL All-Star team in 2013. He'll fight for a reserve role in camp this summer.
The Colts signed Muamba this spring after he was a star in the CFL. In 2013, he was named to the CFL All-Star team and won the award for best Canadian player in the league's East Division. Expectations should be held in check, as Muamba isn't Cameron Wake 2.0. For starters, Muamba is an off-the-line 'backer, rather than a pass rusher. He'll likely work as an inside linebacker for the Colts, and there's no guarantee that he even makes it to training camp. Muamba is probably a long shot to make the final roster, but he at least managed to land with a team that has a need at inside linebacker next to Jerrell Freeman. And has had success with CFL players like Freeman.
