Renner lost his card after last season and is playing on the Web.com Tour.
ANALYSIS
Renner made only 7-of-27 cuts last season with zero top-25s. So far this season on the secondary tour, the 32-year-old Bostonian has made one cut in two tries, and that was two weeks ago in Colombia, where he tied for 38th. The Web.com Tour is now idle until mid-March.

Renner's first attempt on the PGA Tour resulted in a trip back to the Web.com Tour, but his second go-round was much more productive as he nearly doubled his earnings from his rookie season. It's encouraging to see Renner improve so much from his rookie season, but the fact remains that he barely kept his card last year and it happened to be his best effort to date. As such, he's not a good option in salary cap leagues this year and he'll likely go undrafted as well.
Renner hit his stride in mid-summer last year with five Top-30s in seven events, including three Top-15s.
Renner has won each of the last two seasons on the Hooters Tour, which gives him a leg up on some of his Q-School colleagues. Renner is 27, so he's probably coming into his peak playing ability. He'll have to start quickly, though, as premium exemptions are limited.
