Oliver Wilson: Past News Updates ( ▲ View most recent update )
RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
Wilson's earnings number from last season is a little misleading as it does not factor in his WGC earnings. In those events, Wilson finished ninth, fifth and 11th. Needless to say, those results would certainly change the outlook on Wilson. He's proven that he can play with the best in the world, and if you can grab him late, he'll be a nice asset to have during the big events. Wilson moved slightly from 40th to 41st in the 2009 final Official World Golf Rankings.
Wilson (England) played well last year to finish 40th in the final 2008 Official World Golf Rankings thus earning playing spots in the four majors, plus the World Golf Championship events and some invitationals. In early May, Wilson reported he has neck problems and a tear in his right pectoral muscle.
