Roche did not practice with the team and may be out for the rest of the season after suffering a groin injury during Tuesday's game, according to the Arizona Republic.
ANALYSIS
Roche has played 50 games for the Coyotes and done reasonably well for an undrafted player, amassing six goals and 13 assists while maintaining a plus-2 rating. The defense is deep for the Desert Dogs, so it will be interesting to see how he is used in the 2007-08 season.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2005
Travis Roche shared time with young defenseman Matt Jones for the Coyotes in 2006-2007. Early in the season, he finally had the opportunity to show the coaching staff that he was finally ready. After the All-Star break, he slipped allowing Jones to take his spot. He played in 50 games and scored 6 goals with 19 assists along with a plus 2 rating - one of the few Coyotes players that had a positive rating last season. Still, the competition will be fierce for that 6th defensive spot for Travis Roche as he will be going up against strong contenders in training camp.
Roche was signed from Minnesota before the lockout started in 2004. He’s a little old to be a prospect at 27 but he has put together some impressive seasons in the AHL – including 50 points in 73 games in 2004-05. With numbers like that you would expect Roche to be given a chance to see if he can perform at the NHL level, but he played only 10 games in 3 years. He will start the season in the AHL but with continued output like last year he may force Atlanta into giving him another shot.
