RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Tim Wallace.
Wallace is a young prospect trying to find meaningful time in the NHL. Last season he made a statement by turning up 41 points (27 G, 14 A) in 78 contests with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the Penguins' AHL affiliate. He will continue his development with that same club in the 2010-11 campaign.
Wallace was not invited to take part in Pittsburgh's training camp, an indication of how he is valued within the organization. The undrafted free agent played in 16 games with the Pens last year, picking up two assists in 16 contests. Wallace may have already seen his 15 minutes of fame come and go.
Wallace put in a full season with the Baby Pens last year after splitting time between the AHL and ECHL the previous season. The right winger with the right-handed shot scored 11 goal and added 14 assists in 74 contests for Wilkes-Barre and will likely toil the 2008-09 season there once again.
Despite being an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame, Wallace was invited to participate in the Pens' training camp. The right winger collected 14 points in 32 games at Wilkes-Barre and 17 in 19 contests with Wheeling. It's not likely Wallace will play in Pittsburgh this year.
