Bulmer has six goals and two assists in 18 games with AHL Iowa this season. "What I've seen from day one is a player that's growing -- like, genuinely growing," Iowa head coach Kurt Kleinendorst told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "He's a big, strong kid. He's got some areas we're trying to have him work through. But his confidence is there. He's really starting to play with confidence. I think we're going to see even more coming from him because his confidence is starting to come."

RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013-14

There was no outlook written for Brett Bulmer.

2011-12

Bulmer was a second-round (No. 39 overall) selection by the Wild in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Between the 2008-11 seasons, the physical winger totaled 89 points (31 G, 58 A) and 206 penalty minutes in just 125 games with his junior club, the Kelowna Rockets, of the WHL. In 2010-11, Bulmer got a taste of the pros and made eight playoff appearances with AHL Houston before signing an entry-level contract with the Wild last April. There is no reason to draft him in fantasy leagues just yet.

2010-11

The 18-year-old Bulmer has the potential to be a star in the NHL. He played last season with Kelowna of the WHL. He finished the second half of the season strong, and ended the year with 13 G and 40 points. at 6-foot-2, he plays extremely well for his size. Scouts note that his game has been getting better with experience. It's difficult to see him making any appearances this season in Minnesota, but he's one rookie to keep an eye on for the future.
