RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Brad Malone.
Following three seasons of limited action with Colorado (nine points in 54 combined games), Malone signed to a two-year, $1.3 million contract with Carolina last July, and spent the majority of the 2014-15 season centering the Hurricanes’ fourth line. The good news for Malone is that he enjoyed a larger role with the ‘Canes than he had with the Avs, averaging just over 10 minutes per game last year (versus 6:46 and 8:47, respectively, the previous two seasons), while his 15 points were a career-high and included seven goals. Unfortunately, we don’t expect Malone to improve significantly on those totals during the upcoming campaign. From a fantasy perspective, Malone makes for a decent late-round pickup in very deep formats, and not much more beyond that.
