RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013-14

Subscribe now to see our 2013-14 outlook.

2012-13

Hall is a lower-line winger whose specialty is laying hits without taking penalties. He'll bring energy and a couple firecrackers to the party, but that's about it.

2011-12

Hall managed a full season with the Bolts in 2010-11 after toiling in the AHL for the previous year. This season, he may be lucky to crack the roster as the team's 17th forward. His singular value comes in the specialty category of hits -- he had 152 last season -- but that's not enough to cover for his deficiencies in other areas. Nice guy but his NHL career is skidding off into the sunset.

2010-11

Hall had a solid yet unspectacular season with the Lightning's AHL affiliate in Norfolk in 2009-10. But at 30, he'll be hard pressed to be much more than an AHL journeyman.

2008-09

Another fringe-average forward fighting for limited playing time in a cramped Bolts' roster -- don't even bother.

2006-07

Hall appeared in 75 games with the Nashville Predators, registering 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points, along with 40 penalty minutes. He was traded in the offseason for Dominic Moore, and will most likely see the majority of his minutes on the third and fourth lines in 2006-07. Hall has some upside, but will be asked to play a special teams role -- a spot vacated when Moore was shipped out of town.

2005-06

Hall, who had a big year in Finland during the lockout (23 goals and 40 points in 36 regular season games), will try to use that success as a springboard to similar totals (at least in terms of points, not points/game) in the NHL.
