RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014-15

There was no outlook written for John Pohl.

2007-08

This former college scorer had a decent first full season in the NHL and made the most of this limited ice time. But his hold on the fourth-line center job is up in the air as the Leafs are considering the newly acquired Bell as their third-line pivot -- this will drop everyone, including Pohl, down a notch. Keep your eye on him but don't expect much; the Leafs are far too deep up front for him to catch a break.

2006-07

Pohl has some offensive talent, scoring 36 goals and 75 points in 60 AHL games and adding four more points in seven NHL contests. He'll likely earn a regular shift on a bottom two line with the Leafs this season, and try to add some even strength scoring punch. Don't count on more than 30-40 points, however.
