Evans has only played two games in the NHL, albeit two in the Stanley Cup Finals, and will likely stay a career minor-leaguer.
Evans is a stay-at-home defender, who signed a two-year, two-way deal with St. Louis and will head back to the Peoria Rivermen of the AHL. The Blues hope he can match up with one of the organization's younger defensemen (Alex Pietrangelo, Ian Cole), who can then open up and take more offensive chances.
Brennan has bounced around the AHL and has never played an NHL game. That is unlikely to change for the Ducks as he is just a depth player at the AHL level for them.
Evans spent last season in Worchester and posted 16 points (two goals and 14 assists) and 170 penalty minutes in 75 games played. At 25, it is looking like he is going to be a career minor leaguer. If he does make the big club, his fantasy value will be solely based on your leagues value in penalty minutes. Don’t expect much of a fantasy career out of Evans.
