29-26-55 in 71 games with AHL Rockford last season but was held scoreless in seven games with the Blackhawks. He'll fill a similar depth role with the Blue Jackets.
The Blackhawks acquired the rights to Pelletier from the Bruins in a trade this July and promptly signed him to a one-year deal. He made his NHL debut last season, failing to tally a point in six games. It's unlikely that Pelletier will land a roster spot out of training camp, but he should see sometime with the parent club this season. The 25-year-old winger showed potential with Providence of the AHL last season, scoring 37 goals with 38 assists in 73 games. He will have to showcase some of that offensive prowess in the big leagues before holding significant value.
Pelletier was assigned by the Bruins to their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, in September. Unless the big club is in desperate need of callups this season, don't count on him spending any time at the NHL level for at least one more year.
This undrafted QMJHL scorer cleared the century mark in points once in his junior career, so it's obvious there is plenty of talent in those paws of his. But he's most often described as an "energy" guy and we all know what a kiss of death that is for fantasy teams. Avoid.
