RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014-15

There was no outlook written for Mac Bennett.

2013-14

Bennett, selected 79th overall in 2009 by Montreal, finished off his junior season at the University of Michigan, where he skated with fellow Montreal draftee Greg Pateryn. He finished the season with six goals and 18 assists in 31 games for U-M. Bennett has developed his defensive game in his three collegiate seasons and will captain the Wolverines in 2013-14.

2011-12

Bennett was a regular contributor as a freshman for the University of Michigan hockey team that lost in the Frozen Four Final to Minnesota-Duluth. Known more for the offense he generates from the blueline, Bennett improved defensively with the Wolverines, posting a plus-12 in 32 games. He has a nice two-way game, looks to generate offense, and skates well. Bennett will return to Michigan for his sophomore year and is likely two more years from being considered as a pro.
