RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

There was no outlook written for Cameron Abney.

Abney has yet to show much offensive ability in the Oiler organization. He spent last season between the AHL and ECHL, where he played roles as each team's heavyweight. He's nothing more than organizational depth at this point in time.

Abney is destined to be a career minor leaguer as he has only scored 10 goals and 27 points in 97 games in the WHL over the past two seasons. Scoring may not be his niche but Abney is a tough guy who can add some value with his fists, though he seems to be pretty far down the depth chart in the Oilers' system.

Abney has only scored seven goals over the past three seasons in the WHL. If you can't score at that level, you have little to no future in the NHL.
