RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

There was no outlook written for Matthew Pistilli.

Pistilli has the size necessary to carve out a career as a grinder in the NHL, provided he can improve his skating. The Montreal native could see some time on the Hurricanes if there are injuries to the more established forwards, but that figures to be his ceiling in 2011-12.

Pistilli split time between the Florida Everblades (ECHL) and the Albany River Rats (AHL) in 2009-10. In 52 games combined between the two leagues, Pistilli had only seven goals and five assists. He has some work to do before he'll be considered for employment in the NHL, so look out for the 6-foot-2, 219-pound forward in the minors in 2010-11.
