RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

There was no outlook written for Jason Wilson.

Upon posting 18 goals (43 points), 94 penalty minutes and a plus-19 rating through 78 games with the Niagara Ice Dogs (OHL), Wilson was drafted into the Rangers organization with the fifth-round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. However, in 79 games with Greenville (ECHL), the 6'2, 205-pound left-wing has yet to replicate those numbers, collecting five goals, 14 assists and a minus-15 rating. It's noteworthy, he also appeared in 17 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL, registering one goal and 30 penalty minutes. While he's likely to compete for a roster spot in Hartford this training camp, Wilson is not yet worthy of keeping on your radar in any format.

Taken with the 130th pick in the 2010 draft, Wilson is thought of as a hard-nosed player who has said he models his game after Brandon Prust. Wilson is unlikely to see any action in the NHL in 2012-13 and isn't a player owners need to have on their radars at the moment.
