ANALYSIS
MacMillan was originally drafted by the Canadiens in the fourth round of the 2010 draft, but he opted to play four years at the University of North Dakota. The winger was named the defensive forward of the year by the National Collegiate Hockey Conference this past season. He was leading the NCHC with 16 goals when he fractured a kneecap in February and missed UND's playoff run.
