Leblanc signed a one-year, one-way AHL deal with the Canadiens on Tuesday.

ANALYSIS
Leblanc has played his last four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League for the Mississauga Steelheads. Last season, the 21-year-old tallied seven goals, 30 assists and a plus-24 rating. He continued his solid play into the postseason, lighting the lamp twice and adding nine helpers to accompany a plus-11 differential. Nevertheless, Leblanc's 6-foot, 199-pound stature is cause to worry for NHL clubs, meaning he'll have to prove himself in the AHL before he gets a big-league contract.
