Tampa Bay - Kyle Farnsworth is dealing with some elbow issues and will be unavailable for a few days. Manager John Maddon said the team will roll with a committee in Farnsworth's absence, and we would pick Joel Peralta to chair that committee, with J.P. Howell and Juan Cruz in the mix.

St. Louis - Jason Motte picked up the save Sunday, and he has been the man for five of the Cards' last five opportunities. Fernando Salas owners can't be too happy.

Oakland – Andrew Bailey took a BP ball to the head Monday, so he might be out of commission for a few days. Save poachers should look in Brian Fuentes’ and Grant Balfour’s directions.

Recommended Pickup

Jordan Pacheco, C, COL

Rotowire may designate Pacheco as a catcher, but he has yet to play that position since the Rockies recalled him last week. Instead, he has received a somewhat healthy stream of playing time at the corner infield slots, and that technicality could be fantasy gold. The next few weeks could be an audition for a chance to compete in the Rockies' 2012 third base mix. He showed impressive plate discipline in the minors (196 strikeouts to 176 walks in 1719 AB's), but he only hit three home runs in 97 games at Triple-A Colorado Springs. Still, he has the chance to play six more games in Denver and three games in Houston, so he could be worth rolling the dice on, especially if he qualifies at catcher.
