Draxler picked up two assists during Saturday's 4-2 win over Hoffenheim.

Draxler now has three assists in his last four Bundesliga matches, but he hasn't scored a goal in league play since Aug. 22 against Darmstadt. He plays a very important role in the attack, but he'll need to be a part of more goals if he's going to get more fantasy consideration.

Draxler scored a goal on three shots (three on target) in Tuesday's Champions League victory over CSKA Moscow.

After signing at the end of the transfer window, Draxler wasted no time filling the boots of the departed Kevin De Bruyne, finding the back of the net in the 40th minute. Draxler's biggest knock has been his struggles to stay on the field, but when healthy, the 21-year-old German international is one of the best players in the Bundesliga.

Draxler signed with Wolfsburg on Monday after transferring from Schalke.

Draxler had been linked with a number of clubs, including Arsenal and Juventus, but he'll stay in Germany for Wolfsburg, who have plenty of money to spend after selling Kevin de Bruyne to Manchester City for more than 50 million. Draxler, who is still just 21, has made numerous international appearances for Germany, is likely to see an increase in his fantasy value because of Wolfsburg's solid attackers around him.

Draxler has been ruled out until 2015 due to a hamstring injury picked up last weekend against FC Augsburg, reports.

Draxler, who will undergo surgery in Stuttgart to address the issue, will miss the rest of Schalke's Champions League group stage matches, as well as a Euro 2016 qualifier against Gibraltar.

Draxler suffered a hamstring injury early in Schalke's Bundesliga match with FC Augsburg on Friday, and he could be out until 2015, ESPN FC reports. "He's picked up another injury -- it looks like a serious muscle injury," sporting director Horst Heldt said. "I'm working on the basis that Julian won't play again before the winter break."

A very tough blow to Schalke, as well as a number of other European clubs, who have consistently shown interest in a move for Draxler. The 21-year-old has two goals and one assist in eight games this season.

Draxler suffered a right thigh strain during Germany's 4-2 loss to Argentina in their international friendly on Wednesday, the Associated Press reports.

Draxler has dealt with a number of injuries this summer, including one to his hamstring that kept him from competing at the World Cup. He'll have to undergo additional scans in the coming days, which should provide more clarity on his availability to face Borussia Monchengladback on Sept. 13 when Bundesliga play picks up again.

Draxler said he will stay at Schalke next season after turning down an overture from Arsenal last January, reports the Daily Mail.

Arsenal submitted a bid for the midfielder last winter, but the offer was rejected for being too small. Rumors continued that Arsenal may try again in the summer, but Draxler appears to have put that speculation to rest.

Schalke said that Arsenal's transfer bid for Draxler (hamstring) did not meet the club's asking price, reports the Mirror.

Draxler was rumored to be a target for Arsenal during the January transfer window, but a deal never materialized. Now it would appear as though the reason a deal never happened was that Arsenal weren't willing to pay what Schalke were asking.
