Flanagan (knee) has returned to practice but still is without a definite timetable for his 2015 debut, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Flanagan hasn't made any appearances during the 2014-15 campaign but is apparently making a late-season push to get back onto the pitch. He's currently working on a new contract with Liverpool and his health will be a determining factor for that deal to be completed, meaning there's added incentive for the 22-year-old to play as soon as possible.

Flanagan (knee) is "still a bit of time off" according to manager Brendan Rodgers when asked about the players fitness ahead of Liverpool's match against Manchester City on Monday.

Flanagan is still dealing with a knee injury he picked up in the preseason. Playing time is going to be hard to come by for the local lad with Liverpool's defense becoming as crowded as their attack after adding quite a bit of depth ahead of a heavy campaign this year.
