Eto'o turned back the clock Sunday recording two goals and playing a full 90 minutes in the 3-1 win over Burnley.

This may be the only game all season Eto'o plays a full 90 minutes, but it's a fantastic sign from the veteran. He is tough to use in fantasy because he doesn't play consistently, but he is a nice signing for Everton to take some of the load off Romelu Lukaku's shoulders. If they continue to start Lukaku and Eto'o together, the attack could become very dangerous.

Eto'o picked up a knock against Chelsea before the international break and he could be held out of Everton's match against West Brom on Saturday. "Samuel Eto'o got a little knock in the game against Chelsea at the moment he scored and we are going to be a little cautious," Everton manager Roberto Martinez said Friday.

Even when he is fit, Eto'o is not a consistent starter for the Blues, with Romelu Lukaku dominating the playing time up front.

Eto'o was a sub in the 70th minute and found the back of the net within ten minutes in his debut for Everton in the 6-3 loss to Chelsea.

It was a disappointing effort from Everton but a promising effort from their newest signing. Eto'o will surely be used as their super sub and could provide late goals all year. With that said, its hard to rely on him for fantasy as he will almost never play a full 90 minutes.

Eto'o has announced his international retirement.

Eto'o, who officially signed with Everton on Tuesday, goes down as Cameroon's all-time leading scorer. He scored 56 goals in 118 caps for his country. Entering the final stages of his illustrious career, the 33-year-old striker will be able to put his full focus into the Toffees following his retirement from international play.

Eto'o is reportedly close to signing a two-year contract with Everton, the Telegraph reports.

Eto'o was been linked with practically every club in Europe after he was released by Chelsea following his one-season stay with the club, and he reportedly was close to joining Liverpool too. However, the extra contract year may be enough for Everton to solidify his signature, as he will certainly be used as a striking mentor to Romelu Lukaku, who still figures to get the starts up front for the Toffees.

Eto'o is on the verge of a move to Merseyside and will undergo a medical Friday before signing a one year deal with Liverpool, according to Goal.com.

Eto'o would be purely a move for depth and experience for an already crowded Liverpool attack. Barring a rash of injuries, the 33-year-old won't get enough time on the pitch to be relevant in most fantasy formats, despite scoring 12 goals in 34 appearances with Chelsea last season.
