Sinclair got off three shots and scored twice in a 2-2 draw to Sunderland on Saturday. One of his goals came on a converted penalty.

Sinclair appears to have taken the Christian Benteke role that made Benteke a lot of money in the summer transfer window. Sinclair has shown some promise in the past when he played for Swansea and he can be the main catalyst for the offense on any given day. He'll look to continue his scoring form against Leicester in two weeks time after an international break.

While Manchester City's defense hasn't been a tight as it was early in the season, a home match against Bournemouth puts Aleksandar Kolarov at the top of the defender rankings.

Sinclair is ineligible to face his parent club Saturday against Manchester City.

Sinclair has been getting some decent playing time of late, though he's not a huge fantasy performer in many formats. He'll be eligible to return May 2 against Everton.

Sinclair could be held out of Tuesday's match against QPR due to a knock that forced him to miss Saturday's game against Manchester United, manager Tim Sherwood said.

Sinclair was a surprise absentee from Saturday's match, with Sherwood confirming after that he's dealing with an injury, though no details were given. Sinclair has been an interesting fantasy option this season playing a more advanced role for Villa, but an injury surely doesn't help matters.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sinclair is working to impress new Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood after scoring in Sunday's FA Cup win over Leicester, according to the Daily Mail.

Sinclair was originally signed by former manager Paul Lambert just a few weeks before Sherwood took over managerial duties. While Sinclair admitted he has something to prove to the new manager, he added that the whole team also needs to perform better. Aston Villa has won just two of their last 21 matches in the Premier League.

Sinclair officially joined Aston Villa on loan for the remainder of the season.

Sinclair was told last summer that he was not part of Manuel Pellegrini's plans for this season, but he was unable to secure a move at the time. He'll certainly have a better opportunity for playing time at Villa Park, especially with the possibility of starting next to Christian Benteke.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini said Friday that Sinclair is not part of the squad this season but the club has yet to receive any offers for him.

Obviously if he's not part of the squad, Sinclair's fantasy value is extremely limited.

Sinclair has reportedly recovered from his hamstring injury and could be available for Saturday's match against Cardiff, the Daily Express reports.

Sinclair was supposedly ready to play ahead of last week's match against Norwich, but he was never written into the team sheet. He continues to get his return date pushed back, so potential fantasy owners shouldn't be shocked if he isn't a go Saturday.
