Saborio suffered a broken metatarsal and he will not play for Costa Rica in the World Cup, Grant Wahl of Sports Illustrated reports.

Saborio has six goals and two assists through 10 games this season for Real Salt Lake, but the injury will now keep him out for three-to-four months, according to Teletica.com. Saborio was expected to be a big part of the Costa Rica attack in Brazil, and their chances of getting out of a very tough Group D just got even tougher.

Saborio is as good as it gets at the forward position in Fantasy MLS. Beware for the immediate future however, as Saborio was involved in an ugly incident that may well see him suspended for a game or two.

Saborio grabbed a hat trick in Saturday's 3-0 win over Portland.

A tremendous performance from a tremendous player right when RSL needed it. Saborio now has 10 goals in 20 games for Salt Lake, and there is every reason to expect that to continue the rest of the summer.

Saborio scored for the sixth time to put the final dagger into New York's coffin in Saturday's impressive 3-0 win over the Red Bulls.

Saborio has picked up a lot of the scoring slack that has been left in the absence of Javier Morales. The Costa Rican star may be the biggest key for RSL in their quest for a second MLS Cup in three years.

Saborio netted twice, including a converted penalty after a hideous dive on his part, and Real Salt Lake went on to a 4-0 win over San Jose on Saturday.

All Saborio can do is take advantage of the joke that has become MLS officiating. The Costa Rican now has five goals in the last four games for RSL.
