Hasebe has declared himself recovered and fit after suffering a torn meniscus in January, which required two surgeries, FIFA.com reports.

Hasebe was able to play in FC Nurnberg's final game of the season, while playing 45 minutes for Japan against Cyprus at the end of May. Japan begin their World Cup on Saturday against the Ivory Coast before taking on Greece and Colombia.

Hasebe has signed a two-year deal with Eintract Frankfurt, the club's official web site reports.

Hasebe spent much of his career with VfL Wolfsburg, but transferred to FC Nurnberg last season. The 30-year-old midfielder did not score in 14 Bundesliga appearances last season, while recording just one assist.
