Martin (leg) is starting Saturday versus Arsenal.

The skipper returns to bolster his team's defense in a vital game. The match-up is horrible, though, against one of the most prolific teams in Premier League.

Harry Kane has five goals in his last three Premier League matches, and a matchup against Liverpool this weekend puts him atop one of the positional rankings.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Martin (leg) should play in Saturday's match against Sunderland. "Russell's fine, he's trained this week and there's not a problem," manager Alex Neil said Friday.

After missing last week's game against Crystal Palace, Martin should be ready to go against Sunderland. The team's skipper has missed the last two matches, but he has been a fixture of the team's starting XI at center and right back all season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Martin (leg) is not in the 18-man squad to face Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Manager Alex Neil said Friday that Martin should be good to play, but he's apparently not fit enough to even make the bench.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Martin (leg) is likely to return for Saturday's match against Crystal Palace. "Russell should be fine. He's done a couple of days work with us and he should be ok for the game," manager Alex Neil said.

The 30-year-old skipper missed the team's last match, but should be ready to go this weekend against Palace. In a scrap to stave off relegation, the Canaries should have virtually all hands on deck if Martin can return. He's logged 26 starts in the Premier League this season and is a valuable, versatile on the Canaries' back line as he can play right or center back.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Martin had one shot off target, one cross and one dribble en route to a clean sheet in Saturday's 1-0 win over West Brom.

Norwich have two consecutive clean sheets, including a win, and with upcoming matches against relegation-rivals Sunderland and Newcastle, Martin could be in line for a few more defensive bonuses if Norwich can stay strong at the back.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Martin kept a clean sheet in Saturday's scoreless draw with Manchester City.

A rare clean sheet for the Canaries gave them a much needed point against the title-contenders. The skipper, who has played right and center back, has three goals on the year and has the highest fantasy value of any defender for Norwich.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Martin put in a cross, three tackles and picked up a defensive clean sheet and a yellow card in the 2-0 home win over Aston Villa on Monday.

One of his most memorable highlights was a scuffle with Micah Richards after which he got cautioned in the 90th minute of the game. Even at right back, the skipper, is fantasy irrelevant. He started off hot with three goals in the first six games of the season but has nothing since September, although, his fantasy forecast may still be pointing north to start 2016 when the Canaries host the struggling to score, away from home, Saints.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Martin was available off the bench but remained unused sub in the home 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Sunday.

Surprisingly, the starter was left on the bench. He missed a couple of games due to suspension and personal issues and hasn't played even a minute in November. Ryan Bennet has been starting in Martin's absence and probably his good run of form kept him on the field for the clash with the Gunners too. You can probably expect the Canaries to continue riding the hotter, and younger, legs of Bennet for the time being.
