Pilkington came on for Jonas Gutierrez in the 68th minute of Norwich City's 1-0 win over Hull City on Saturday. He got one shot off, but it failed to land on goal.

Pilkington has been out since the end of November with a hamstring injury, and it's unclear if he'll return to the starting XI once he gets back to match fitness. He had one goal and one assist in his nine appearances prior to the injury.

Pilkington (hip) is fit to face Newcastle on Saturday after pulling out of the Republic of Ireland's two friendlies over the international break, the Norwich Evening News reports.

Pilkington has been training with the team for the past few days and will look to fill the void left by Ricky van Wolfswinkel, who will not play Saturday due to a toe issue.

Pilkington is still being assessed by the club doctors at Norwich over the dead leg he suffered in last weekend's win over West Ham. The FAI say he remains a doubt for the Republic of Ireland's friendly against Latvia on Friday, according to The Irish Times.

Pilkington will remain with Norwich until at least Thursday, and will not be risked in what are two relatively meaningless international friendlies unless he has recovered 100 percent. Norwich got a much needed win Saturday and will hope for a similar performance after the international break, when they travel to face in-form Newcastle United on November 23.

Pilkington (hamstring) sat on the bench during Ireland's World Cup Qualifier in Germany, but could not have been involved in the game because of injury. He will return to his club and miss the last qualifier against Kazakhstan on Tuesday, according to BBC Sport.

Ireland were only making up the numbers in their final two World Cup Qualifying games, so any slight injury and Pilkington would not have been risked. More will be known in regards the extent of the injury when he meets up to train with his club later in the week. Until then, only consider him a slight doubt to miss Norwich's next game, an away fixture to the league leaders Arsenal.

Pilkington (knee) made his Norwich City debut Tuesday against Bury in the Capital One Cup, scoring a goal in the 31st minute.

Pilkington started the match but was subbed off in the 76th minute by Luciano Becchio, as Norwich were already up 4-1 at that point. It's great to see that he's back on the pitch and he should be good to go for his Premier League season debut Saturday against Southampton.
